Annual Lataiff Family Lake House Weekend - August 29th

The Baldwin Family started going to the Lataiff Family Lake House on Lake Blue Ridge when the Baldwin Family was JUST the Baldwin Family... now we are the Baldwin, Muth & Rios families :) This visit is something that we all look forward to each year. Our families always have so much fun together! We eat DELICIOUS food, spend hours in the sun tubing, skiing, jet skiing, and cruising and then of course hours at night visiting and listening to good music. We are so lucky to have friends like the Lataiff's that share their fun toys with us :) My favorites from this visit... the AMAZING breakfast casserole that Susan made Sunday morning & the "family only" Pinot Dr.Lataiff shared with our family. Nate has declared that wine the BEST drink he has EVER had :)

It seems like each year there is a new baby to cuddle and play with and this year that baby was MASON :) We had so much fun watching all the Lataiff kids play with and care for Mason! As soon we got Mason out of the car Charlie was reaching for Mason saying... "I wan himmmm.... I waann himmm" It was SO cute! We all imitate Charlie on a regular basis now when we want to hold Mason :) All of the kids were great with Mason... even Phillip and Charlie took turns holding Mason. Teddy showed a special interest in Mason. He helped with everything the whole weekend and really impressed us on the way he cared for Mason. He was so sweet and patient, even when Mason screamed all the way to Mass Sunday morning. Teddy was sitting in the back with him and just talked to him, fanned him, offered him his toy, tried the bottle... he never got upset or frustrated and never quit trying to appease his little buddy. It was adorable!

This is a video of Mason "talking" with Grampy. For some reason I can not figure out how to get the video the right direction... the sound is still super sweet :)

One of my favorite parts of the weekend is the evening boat ride... this was Mason's favorite part of the weekend also :) It was really close to his bed time and Nate & worried that he might get super fussy... we should have known better! Mason LOVES LOVES LOVES being outside and he LOVES LOVES LOVES being in his Grampie's arms ... put those together & he's in heaven :) He relaxed and chilled for a while and then just snoooozed the rest of the way. Takes after his momma :) Nothing better than taking a nap on a boat :)

We can't wait to go back again next year to spend time with our favorite family of nine :)
